Type of online communities

.Internet access, access costs, computer and browser types, geographic and time zone issues all affect the type of community you’ll build.

our audience is the Italian communities in Australia.

unsure that would they be flexible to access internet ,but basically should be.

there wont be any access costs, and computer and browser type would be friendly to pc and mac, the most popular one so that people easily access.

geographic – exhibition in Melbourne and online source system, there might be a problem for the residence not in Melbourne and overseas (Italian).

time zone should be consider.

And this is a public system, but as there involve sensitive problem, and need to in case for illness support group, user registered needed. business support or not ?

  • This project is in association with COASIT,  a non-profit organisation for Italians and Australians of Italian descent.
  • The project seeks to communicate aspects of cultural memory and migratory history by linking objects, events and stories from within the community to a broader community through online services. The project will support an exhibition which opens in July 2010
  • The project will deliver an online resource where community members can share stories, upload objects and comment on histories and experiences.
  • In the longer term, the project offers an opportunity to capture community stories across multigenerational audiences and communicate them to others.

Unity currently imports from Maya

  1. All nodes with position, rotation and scale. Pivot points and Names are also imported.
  2. Meshes with vertex colors, normals and up to 2 UV sets.
  3. Materials with Texture and diffuse color. Multiple materials per mesh.
  4. Animations FK & IK
  5. Bone-based animations

Unity does not import blend shapes. Use Bone-based animations instead. Unity automatically triangulates polygonal meshes when importing, thus there is no need to do this manually in Maya.
